  1. The PatchMeister v1.0a Release Disk

  4. A few features have been added to The PatchMeister that do not appear
  5. in the manual.
  6.  
  7. .  The PatchMeister will install itself in the directory of your choice.
  8.    It will create two (2) drawers within that directory:  DRIVERS to
  9.    store all of the Driver templates, and HELP to store all of the help
  10.    text files.  However, if you want to move the help files to another
  11.    directory, use the AmigaDOS ASSIGN command to assign PMHELP: to the
  12.    directory containing the help text.

  14. .  New capabilities have been added to the Driver Creator window:
  15.  
  16.    You may enter more than one command on the FIRST and LAST command
  17.    lines.  Use a double-slash to separate each command.  For example,
  18.    F0 43 20 09 F7 // C0 00.

  20.    Additional name formats will appear in the NAME FORMAT cycle gadget
  21.    to handle decoding patch names for the Proteus modules and the DPM-3.
  22.  
  23.    Several more options have been added to the NUMBER FORMAT cycle
  24.    gadget:
  25.              A00 ->A99:  A00 thru A99, B00 thru B99, etc.
  26.              A11 ->A18:  A11 thru A18, B11 thru B18, etc.
  27.              A01 ->A16:  A01 thru A16, B01 thru B16, etc.

  29.    Two (2) more options have been added to the HANDSHAKE cycle gadget:
  30.    `Bank items use -P' and `Roland RQ1 Bulk'.

  32.    BANK ITEMS USE -P: NO handshaking!  However, bank items are sent
  33.                       and retrieved one item at a time.  The -P (patch
  34.                       number offset) is initialized to the Patch Min
  35.                       value and is incremented for each subsequent SEND
  36.                       or GET.

  38.    ROLAND RQ1 BULK:   Use this method of communications for Roland
  39.                       synths which return more than one sysex packet
  40.                       when you send them one (1) GET command.
